Yep, that's me. You’re probably wondering how I got here. Well, to answer that we’ll have to go back a bit…

Hey there! My name is David and I am a technical writer for SaaS companies with experience in UX and product marketing copy. This role fell into my lap while working as a customer success manager, and I quickly concluded it was a role I had been training for my whole life.

I have an interesting job history to say the least; a tour guide to a historically site, professional musician, to a bell hop at a five-star, five-diamond resort - and many more in between. Little did I know that my scattered employment history would give me the tools to become a writer for SaaS platforms.

Instead of going too far into the weeds, here are some things I love about what being a tech writer:

  • Learning new and complex concepts and turning them into digestible content for the average person.

  • Using creative problem solving to make processes easier for everyone.

  • Working alongside creatives to come up with an easy-to-grasp experience.

  • Researching and analyzing user data to gain better understanding, then using it to create better content.

  • Planning, organizing, making to-do lists, and setting standards of procedure for more efficient workflows.

  • Finding the perfect word to replace three others.

On a more personal level, I love spending my days outside with my wife and dog, writing and performing music with my friends, and tinkering with vintage electronics.

Thanks for reading :)
